Pine and Pond is one of the best wedding venues in Alberta (in my humble opinion) so when Kayleigh and Marlin reached out for their summer wedding, I couldn't wait! Fall Wedding at Pine and Pond
When I look back at these Pine and Pond wedding photos, one of the things that just makes my heart flutter is how much their wedding party, family and friends just adore them. It might have even been extra special to me because Kayleigh and Marlin came to me through a referral - Kaleigh's sister is actually engaged to my cousin! The entire wedding day was just super emotional and super loving and I swear my heart grew at least three sizes (from the vows to the speeches).
Although the wedding day was incredibly sentimental, it was also a lot of fun (you can have both!). During getting ready photos, Marlin gifted his groomsmen custom lighters and they all smoked cigars during their wedding photos. The day was filled with both happy tears and laughs, and the ongoing joke of the day was how these newlyweds were the new "Mr & Mrs Smith" - an absolutely epic last name!

Wedding Photos in the Canoe at Pine and Pond
If you are looking for an Alberta wedding venue, I can't recommend Pine and Pond enough. When we took Kaleigh and Marlin's wedding photos, we took advantage of all the breathtaking locations around the property, from the treed areas, cute cabin with bicycle, dreamy bridge, and of course - their signature wedding canoe. We took a majority of their wedding photos between the ceremony and cocktail hour but we snuck out around golden hour for a few sunset shots as well. You just can't find backdrops like this in the city!
