Even though we specialize as a Calgary elopement photographers and videographer team, I do always love a good cake smash. After the craziness of 2020, can we really afford to miss any opportunity to celebrate? Every milestone has become even more important. If you need a cake smash photographer, we are READY so contact us here.
This fall cake smash ended up being one of my favorite fall photo sessions. One of the problems with planning a cake smash is that oftentimes you can pay a lot of money for a fancy cake and a fancy outfit, and the one-year-old ends up so overwhelmed. Like everything with a baby, they don't always react the way you expect. Seriously, I've witnessed more than one cake smash that ends up with the baby crying! All of my cake smashes are low key, with only four of us there, which is a lot less pressure and a lot less overwhelming. So she wasn't afraid to dive right in.
Combining cake smash photos with an outdoor family photo session
We got some photos of her with the cake and some cute pumpkins to embrace the fall weather. Whenever I have the chance to photograph a family cake smash, I like to combine a family photo session as well. Trust me, these are the photos you are truly going to cherish! Plus, how cute are these parents? They actually own a stunning outdoor wedding venue here in Bowden - Hill Rise Ranch! For more information on one of our favorite wedding venues, check out this post here.
Although we are primarily Calgary elopement photographers, we never miss an opportunity to celebrate. After all, we typically become so close with our couples that we end up being their go-to photographers for all of life's moments. If you were looking for a Calgary photo team, you can learn more about our services here or contact us for something more unique like this fun cake smash. Trust me, we would love to be a part of it.
