A Stunning Outdoor Wedding in Calgary

It literally brings me so much joy to share Jen and Jordan's outdoor wedding in Calgary with you. As the world starts to open up again, it was absolutely incredible to spend the day with them (and their equally lovely guests). There was so much laughter and so much joy throughout the day. Jen and Jordan's wedding was such a breath of fresh air. If they look familiar, you probably recognize them from this post here about unique engagement photo ideas! They were sweet then and they are sweet now!

Rouge Wedding Venue in Calgary

Jen and Jordan got married at Rouge Restaurant in Calgary. If you haven't checked them out yet, they are one of the most charming micro wedding venues in Calgary. First, they have a suite above the restaurant for you to get ready in. Second, they have a beautiful garden venue outside the restaurant with a tree that acts as your ceremony arch. Honestly - you don't even need to decorate. The space is BEAUTIFUL. And the food? It's farm to table and absolutely fantastic. Easily some of the best I've tasted in my life. I truly believe Rouge is such a hidden gem.

Outdoor Wedding Photos in Calgary

After their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, we headed to take more bride and groom photos and photos with their wedding party. We had a backup plan as it was initially supposed to rain but honestly it ended up being a gorgeous day. We can never trust the weather forecast here in Alberta! You should always have a backup plan but don't be discouraged if you are expecting less than ideal weather. We can make your photos look good no matter what ;)

Jordan was dead set on serenading his bride during the photos and it was one of the sweetest moments I've ever witnessed (and I am a wedding photographer, for goodness sake). We found a log and handed him a guitar and just started taking pictures. It was hard not to burst into a puddle of tears! If you are a sucker for details like we are, you'll also notice their "pinky rings" which they both got after they became engineers. I love the little things that make your wedding day (and your entire relationship) completely your own.

This last photo was one of my favourite from the day so it needs it's own shout out! Jen had brought a jacket in case she was cold and they both had sunglasses so I suggested they throw them on anyway. I LOVED THE WAY IT TURNED OUT. They look so freaking cool. Congratulations!!!!
