What an adventure this session was! We left Calgary at 2:15am and headed out to Moraine Lake, Alberta to get there in time to see the sun rise and get some amazing shots. Sunrise shoots are one of my favorite!
Moraine Lake on its own is spectacular, the water is a gorgeous turquoise colour. Add the sun rising, breaking through the clouds and hitting the peaks of the mountains..breath taking! We had all the weather during this session from sun to rain to hail ending with a beautiful double rainbow, which of course we got amazing shots of our couple under. Taking photo's at sunrise offer amazing benefits to the photographer such as less glare, haziness and shadows making for almost always great shots. Olivia and Spencer were married last October, and though it was the most special day of their lives, they felt their photo's did not truly reflect how they were feeling that day. I was so honoured to be asked to capture the love these two share and let me tell you, it was easy to see that they adore one another! Just the way the look at each other envelops the profound love they share.
Although Olivia and Spencer looked perfect for their adventure shoot, they had to deal with a stressful situation on the drive out. They hit a poor baby moose and dented their car, but they handled it so well and were all smiles for the camera. We absolutely loved this sunrise adventure shoot and we are so pleased to be able to give them photos & a video that capture their true love and emotion for one another.
