Duncan and Jodie had the most beautiful perfect and fun winter engagement shoot in Kananaskis Country. It's a small world because I played volleyball and worked with Jodie's brother and Jodie and I played in the same volleyball league but never actually met until her brother referred her to us. These two wonderful souls are so down to earth and fun! Both total extroverts, affectionate and silly, they love to play games, spend time together and with family friends. They also have a cat that they are both allergic to but love dearly haha.
I asked them what their favorite thing about each other is and they said Jodie pushes Duncan everyday to want to be better, she brings him up when he is down and puts up with his ridiculousness. Duncan makes her smile even when she doesn't really want to and he has some nice arms haha, makes her feel safe, balances her and brings out her sense of laughter.
Here is their proposal in their own words:
So, Duncan had ordered the ring online during the pandemic, so he had no idea when it was going to arrive. One day while Jodie was taking pictures of some dinner room chairs we were going to put on Market Place, Duncan announced that he was going to the mailbox to get the mail. (Peace) When Duncan returned from the mail, he quickly tore into a box, Jodie preoccupied with what she was doing, just thought to herself, it's just Duncan being Duncan. At this point Duncan starting walking towards Jodie and talking about their relationship and how much he loved her. Jodie then looked at Duncan and said "Why do you have your serious voice on?" As Duncan walked closer to Jodie, he pulled out a ring and asked her if she would be his Forever Hunny. The best part is, while Duncan and Jodie were at Jodie's friends wedding, 1.5 months after they first met, he had shown her a picture of a ring and asked her what she thought of it. Turns out, the ring he gave her that day was the very same ring he has shown her all those months prior.
Love their story and their pictures, they turned out so beautifully and really show their personality and love for one another. We honestly couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day. We hope you love their photos.
