Banff Springs Winter Wedding

Who doesn't dream of celebrating their wedding day at Canada's "Castle in the Rockies"? Alex and Muxin got married at Banff Springs hotel, where they got to be king and queen of the castle! Having a castle feel fulfills that childhood dream of being royalty for the day, plus you get the beautiful Rocky Mountains as a gorgeous backdrop!

"Hello"! My name is Krystal and I am the boss babe at Fly Free Photo and Film. Here, at Fly Free we are a team made up of three awesome photographers and our in house videographer. These Banff Spring wedding photos were taken by our very talented team member, Meghan. Feel free to learn more about Meghan and the rest of our team, or jump right over to our pricing info here.

Alex and Muxin flew in from Toronto and their wedding party flew from as far as Singapore to come in for their wedding. All of their guests flew in to be part of their special day and you could tell that their family and friends were both really important to them. It's always so beautiful to see a close knit family come together and celebrate love. Alex looked super debonair in his black suit. Very James Bond! Muxin was so gorgeous in her a-line white dress. Timeless and pretty as a picture!

Banff Wedding Venues

The terrace at the Banff Springs hotel is a beautiful location for a ceremony - although usually a bit on the windy side, the views are stunning! Thankfully we had beautiful weather for the ceremony though it turned a bit cold later in the day. If you're looking for Banff wedding venues, this location is a great one to consider! Alex and Muxin had a stunning arch covered in foliage and white flowers from the very talented Catherina of Paper + Petals plus the added backdrop of the mountains behind them. They had live music at the ceremony, which was a nice touch. Another sentimental detail was having a friend be their officiant, combined with very personal and beautiful vows which was a great testament of their love for each other and the relationship that they've built together. The entire scene was so romantic and stunning. It was like looking in a magazine!

Fairmont Banff Wedding

There are lots of great locations to take pictures when you have a Fairmont Banff wedding. Stunning windows, arches, and bookcases. We also took some pictures by a piano. It all added to the royalty feel of the day! After photos Alex and Muxin joined their guests and wedding party for cocktail hour in the reception hall followed directly by the reception. The reception hall is beyond amazing! It felt like I was in Beauty and the Beast. From the chandeliers, the arches, the balconies. This is why Fairmont Banff Springs is called Canada's castle in the Rockies! They had a bunch of beautiful speeches and then it was time to party! After dinner everyone hit the dance floor, the couple loved to dance and the reception hall had tons of space for them to have a good time with their family and friends. In our experience hiring a great DJ can make or break the party in the evening. Nigel from Pez Productions is one of the best in the industry and we love getting the opportunity to work with him, as we always know he'll pack the dance floor!
