Amy and Daryl shared their I Do’s with their closest friends and family over the Thanksgiving weekend at the Erin Woods Community Hall. It was a beautiful sunny fall day full of gorgeous colours, amazing views and a whole lotta love. One of our associate teams documented this beautiful wedding and here is her recap of their special day.
Amy’s sweet little fur baby Bella made an appearance at the reception and just wanted to be with Amy the whole time, she even got to walk down the aisle with Amy’s Mom. Their officiant was truly amazing and made the ceremony so special, I saw lots of tears! After the ceremony we headed to a few of Calgary’s iconic landmarks that have incredible views of the city for pictures. We stopped at Rotary Park which has gorgeous parks, trees and stonework. The Peace Bridge which is bright red and very unique looking crossing the Bow river in Calgary’s downtown core and even a super cool structure called the upside down church!
The wedding party danced into the reception which was also held at the Erin Woods Community Hall. A classic, delicious thanksgiving turkey dinner was served with Pie Junkie favors for all the guests. The emotional and sentimental Father Daughter dance began all sweet like most do, but then to everyone’s surprise it burst into a high energy dance to Blue Suede Shoes. There were many laughs shared between the siblings and tender moments from the parents during the speeches.
Autumn weddings are so gorgeous and I loved how their wedding colours popped against all the fall colours. We are so honoured you chose us to capture your most precious moments on one of the most important days of your lives.
