It was impossible to not kick up your boots at this country wedding. What looked like a page out of a country wedding magazine was Laura and Jared’s special day. This was a day so very full of love - not only between the bride and groom but their families, too! On the actual day of their anniversary, these two tied the knot, surrounded by the gorgeous views at Diamond in the Rough - just outside of Bowden. Planning a wedding with locals is just as much fun for our team and we had ourselves a boot-scootin’ time with this country-loving couple.

Bride and groom dance beside fountain in the lush field at Diamond in the rough. Bride's dress is flowing; groom wears gray suit. Sky is cloudy, creating a serene atmosphere.

Diamond in the Rough Venue - Planning a Rustic Country Wedding

Laura and Jared knew just what they wanted: a rustic country wedding surrounded by their loving family and friends. That is exactly what they got. After pretending to forget the anniversary, Jared waited the entire day and then popped the question the next day. Laura, having forgotten their anniversary for real, said yes without hesitation! In preparation for the wedding day, Laura and Jared wrote one another heartfelt letters, sealed until the morning-of, coupled with a personal gift to be opened at the same time as the letter. We love every personal touch that was considered for this wedding!

A Rustic Wedding Venue fit for the Magazines

They determined that having video and photography for the day-of would be the best way to preserve memories - Laura knows she’ll re-watch the wedding video to re-live the day! Their big day started with a hearty breakfast for the bride and groom to enjoy solo - while reading their letters and opening their gifts. Laura and Jared opted to skip the first-look and hold out for the traditional first look at the aisle. We were able to capture so many candid moments on film and video for Laura and Jared to enjoy later and we balanced it with traditional posed photos with family and friends.

Our team was touched by just how much love there was for these two! From friends to family, everyone in attendance had so much genuine love for Laura and Jared. The pond at Diamond in the Rough made for the perfect backdrop for post-ceremony photos - not to mention the old, classic truck that definitely understood the rustic assignment. The day turned into night to the sound of country music and laughter - there was no doubt in our minds that a good time was had by all!
