Willow Lane Barn Wedding

Planning a farm wedding in Alberta but not sure on locations? We've got you covered! This beautiful summer wedding took place in central Alberta on the most stunning property. It's a must see! I've known Shawn (the Groom) for many moons, as we've been playing paintball together for quite some time now. There were tons of other people from our paintball community at Shawn and Jacqueline's wedding; it was super fun to see them all. Calgary Wedding Photographers

Before we get started I just want to say a friendly "Hello" to any who are new to Fly Free Photography. Hello, and welcome! Willow Lane Barn in Olds

Shawn and Jacqueline got married at a cute little venue just outside of Olds, Alberta called Willow Lane Barn. It's a very cute family run venue that has tons of awesome photo locations, I just loved it so much! The venue has a loft for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in, and a big open area in the barn for the reception. There are lots of different spots to choose from for the ceremony.

Shawn and Jacqueline are so adorable together. Shawn has an adorable son named Beau, and Jacqueline has so easily accepted Beau as her own son. She is going to make an amazing step mom to him. They are a super sweet family! Shawn and Jacqueline have been together for quite a few years. Shawn proposed to Jacqueline at Christmas time and I couldn't have been more excited when I found out!

Olds Wedding Venues

It turned out to be a beautiful day. Originally it was supposed to thunderstorm, but thank God it didn't. The sun was out during the ceremony, which is not ideal but I sure will take it over the rain! We had our umbrellas handy, as always, just in case. As a wedding photographer you always have to be ready for all kinds of weather! I was a tad concerned that we might not get a good sunset photo due to the massive dark clouds rolling in, but when we went to one of the back fields there was a beautiful little pop up color that lasted maybe 5-10 minutes and then it was gone! We got out there at the perfect time!

All in all, it was a really great day surrounded by their friends and family who all love Shawn, Jacqueline and Beau dearly! I'm so grateful to have been able to capture these precious memories for my dear friends to look back on.
