Allison and Thomas! This adorable, fun couple met on Tinder, yup online romances do work! They got engaged in breath taking Dominican Republic and planned to be married in Tofino but had to re plan their magical day due to the pandemic. After reading my blog 'Small Wedding Venues Near Calgary' they chose to elope at one of our fav locations, Pine and Pond Wedding Venue.
Allison recently lost her Mom and Thomas was her rock going through this. Losing loved ones and leaning on one another to get through the though times strengthened and deepened their bond. It was beautiful having little touches to honour her Mom throughout her special day including a candle lighting ceremony.
It was a perfect day with just the right mix of sun and cloud. The ceremony took place under a wooden archway adorned with flowers and a blush pink fabric. The aisle had lantern holders that held up beautiful bouquets with the same pretty blush pink coloured fabric. Allison's Grandmother walked her down the aisle which was so beautiful and meaningful. Allison's dress was so stunning and unique and thankfully her Mom got to help her pick it out. Thomas' dark blue suit looked great against all the blush pink accents, Allison's favourite colour. Delicious appetizers were catered in by Remi Catering. We then took photos around the property and had such a great time as Allison and Thomas are so laid back and funny. Pine and Pond offer fabulous photo opportunities like a pretty little pond, old buildings, a rustic cabin on the water with access to a canoe and amazing pathways through the woods. We even got a shot of them in the canoe under an umbrella, super cute and romantic.
We finished off the night with a cozy fire, s'mores and even sparklers! We honestly couldn't have asked for a more amazing, romantic or fun day. We wish you both a very happy and blessed married life and thank you for trusting us to capture your precious moments.
