Kelsea and Steve had a gorgeous, intimate backyard wedding in Cochrane, Alberta. Originally they were going to be married in Mount Norquay but with all the restrictions in place, they chose to have their fairytale celebration in their friends beautifully landscaped backyard.
The bridal party got ready at the house and Steve and his groomsmen got ready for the big day at the Ramada Hotel in Cochrane. The guys had a really big sandwich while getting ready which is a running joke between the guys. One of the groomsmen also had a really big sandwich at his wedding which Steve was the best man for. The guys were dressed in traditional Kilts as a tribute to Steve's side of the family and he wore very special cuff links handed down from his Grandfather. Kelsea was a vision in a fitted dress with lace and embroidered accents. The bridal party wore shades of purple which matched the purple flowers in the bouquets, sandals that laced around their legs and braids in their hair giving a total fairytale feel.
After a very personal ceremony with beautiful unique vows officiated by their best friend Rob, we headed to the Cochrane Ranch house to take photos around this stunning property. Big lush trees, tons of greenery, a wooden bridge, water and pathways made for perfect dreamy photos. We had a bit of rain, which they say is good luck on your wedding day, and then Mother Nature graced us with an overcast day which is fantastic for taking photos as the clouds act as a giant light diffuser.
Kelsea and Steve are such a fun down to earth couple, madly in love and so easy to work with. I can't tell you enough how much I love a bride who is willing to go barefoot, get a little dirty and even climb a tree for the most amazing photos. We loved spending your most special day with you and wish you nothing but happiness and joy always, along with some amazing adventures.
