Kirsten and Marleigh's engagement session was beautiful! The evening was perfect with just the right amount of evening sunlight. I really loved how the lilacs added a great purple pop to their photos. You can see how much this couple love and adore each other. One of our lovely team members, Meghan, took these summer engagement photos. This is what she had to say about this session: It was a gorgeous night for this country summer engagement shoot. The sun was up longer than usual because the next day was Summer Solstice. Having that extra sunlight was so great! Kirsten wore a grey button up shirt with blue jeans and a cowboy hat, while Marleigh wore a floral white summer dress. They looked perfect with the scene.
Kirsten and Marleigh are a great couple! They met at SAIT both taking architectural technology, and have been together for 5 years. They are an adventurous couple who like to travel together, and go out to various place like to Canmore, Banff and the mountains. They enjoy cruising around in their vehicle, kayaking and canoeing, to name a few activities. Kirsten and Marleigh also like to travel often into the United States during calmer times. ( I mean, don't we all! haha )
Calgary Engagement Photos
They got engaged this passed October on a trip together to Fairmont, BC. While on their trip, Kirsten and Marleigh were dancing together to their favorite song (they can't recall the name of, but they know the song, haha). As they were dancing Kirsten got down on one knee and proposed to Marleigh. She said YES! What a perfectly romantic moment. As Calgary engagement photographers, we absolutely adore hearing about each and every love story we get to be a part of. It's our goal to capture every single moment filled with love for you to keep forever as memories that you can look back on and share with generations to come.
We did their engagement photoshoot on an acreage where Kirsten grew up a little passed Airdrie, Alberta. I love this type of location as it is a great idea for engagement photos. Kirsten and Marleigh have two dogs, named Ranger and Toby. Toby is a rescue dog and was super relaxed and happy to take photos. Ranger is super cute and has a mind of his own. He didn't really think posing for photos was a fun thing to do, haha. If you have furr babies, PLEASE bring them to your shoot, the whole team over at Fly Free Photography loveeee some good puppy snuggles! haha
