This beautiful wedding was shot by Ashley, one of our amazing associates!! Here is what she had to say about this magical day!

Kayla and Brett's gorgeous, intimate wedding took place at The Links of Glen Eagles Golf Course in Cochrane, Alberta which has pristine views of the Rockies, and their reception was held in their newly renovated backyard in Calgary.

The day started with Kayla and her girls getting ready together and having some fun. The Ladies made a TikTok with the trend of them starting off in their bridesmaid robes then magically transitioning into their stunning dresses! Kayla wore a dress that she had searched forever for and finally found a one time sale where she got exactly what she wanted with lace sleeves and buttons. She looked absolutely perfect!

As Kayla walked down the aisle she shed a few sweet tears before she hugged her Dad and met her husband to be, ready to exchange vows. Brett had a hard time getting his words out as he shared his vows with Kayla, it was so touching and beautiful. After the emotional ceremony, we headed to do family photo's but were met with a brief storm, so the wedding party had to shelter themselves from the strong winds momentarily but regardless we had lots of laughs. The wind was so strong it actually blew Kayla's veil right off when she was walking down the aisle. Kayla's Dad was in charge of food for the wedding party to bring along to pictures and he made homemade sandwiches with love, so special.

After family photos we headed to Kayla and Brett's home where, with a little help from their family, they transformed their backyard into an oasis. They built a deck, a fire pit area for a dance floor, strung lights, lined the house with flowers and candles and even decorated with white chalk on the driveway and sidewalk. Friends helped to make the day extra special. One friend played the harp, which was so romantic. Another friend who was a chef provided all the food which was super tasty and the arbour was borrowed. They had a beautiful first dance and emotional family dances as the siblings were welcomed to join in on the Mother-Son and Father-Daughter dances. They had the sweetest speeches and reminisced, joked and were welcomed into the family. Of course they had so much fun celebrating the rest of the evening, including an outstanding performance by the Bride's sister and husband singing "Can't help falling in love with you" and a very energetic performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by a guest that got everyone taking videos!

Congratulations Kayla and Brett on your perfect magical day that we know you will never forget. We wish you love, laughter and happiness always as you begin your new adventure together.
