Is there anything more romantic than two people finding love and vowing to spend their entire lives together through the ups, downs, and everything in between? Yes. The answer is yes. Now before you call me crazy, or a non love, lover; let me tell you what was incredibly magical and special about Stephanie and Terrys winter wonderland: the miracle of life. Stephanie and Terry were expecting a sweet, long awaited, bundle of joy {I told you *cue the happy tears* #babyfever #ilovebabies #pregnantbride #glowingmomma}. From the moment I walked into the hotel room and set eyes on Stephanie’s perfect baby bump, my heart was filled with joy.  She had a wedding day smile I have seen so many times before, but I must admit, she also had a glow about her. An all-encompassing glow that shone so bright it filled the room. I could literally see her pride. I shrieked with happiness {on the inside of course, I can’t be all willy-nilly shrieking in hotel rooms} and got my favorite body and lens combo {let the magic begin!}.

Wait a New York minute, how rude. I didn’t even introduce myself. This is Amber, Fly Free Photography Associate and proud member of the #flyfreefamily. If you follow me on Instagram {which you should} you already know I am a lover of all things love [seriously, if I knew you’d keep reading for the next few hours I could fill this page with things that make my heart smile. BUT lucky for you I am also a realist and will just stop myself now… you’re welcome #thankyounext}. As I was saying, I love love. When I found out Stephanie wanted to do a first look with her Dad, I immediately started scouting potential locations. Check out the priceless results below {did it get dusty in here or is that just me?}

The weather was nothing short of frigid, in fact, so cold the #CalgaryZoo closed a number of exhibits early {despite the bridal party being absolute champs and willing to withstand the cold to capture a few outdoor photos}. I have to say, the chill provided a very mystical feel to the day {which was yet another magically amazing element of Stephanie and Terry’s day}.

If I were to sum up the Calgary Zoo as a venue location into one word, it would be this: OPTIONS. The weather may not have been ideal but there was nothing to complain about when we headed inside to the absolutely breathtaking indoor gardens. This is where the real magic happened… how about I let you see for yourself.

Last, but certainly not least if we are taking order of importance [right, Steph *wink*] is the food. THE FOOD YOU GUYS. It was phenomenal. As a wedding photographer, I am proud to consider myself somewhat of a self-proclaimed wedding foodie. The spead at Steph and Terry’s wedding was not only vast and unique, it was DELICIOUS {excuse me while I wipe this drool off my face} #foodporn #cateringdoneright #givemeallthefood #nomnomnom

It was a night of love, laughter, and happiness.

Cheers to three months of wedded bliss Mr. and Mrs. Nichol. Enjoy your new baby and growing family.
